I’m back!

It’s been over a year, but I’ve finally rejoined Final Fantasy XI!  And this time, my sister, Sonosu, has rejoined with me on a new account!  We finally get to play together.  Unfortunately, it took me awhile to remember how to take screenshots and I’ve been too lazy to use fraps.  Luckily, I still have a few screenies to share with you, though they aren’t too interesting.

So, there you go.  The last two screenies are of the Starlight Festival in Bastok.  I might upload a video later and I’ll try to keep this updated.  Oh and Sonosu and I only plan to play until we return to school early January.  Though, our subscriptions last until the end of January.  So I guess we’ll just have to see.

Oct. 22 2009-Update

I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I started this blog.  I firstly want to apologize for not updating in such a long time.  I never joined World of Warcraft as I said I probably would.  I haven’t restarted my Final Fantasy XI account either though.  I’m still on break and with school started I don’t see that really ending any time soon.  If you really do want to continue to get the small updates in my FFXI life, then just vist these forums every now and then.

Thank you everyone, for reading my blog when I kept it updated.  I hope to someday do this again.  I probably won’t play WoW again btw, to make sure everything is clear.  It might be more casual, but I don’t think that it would have the same magic that ffxi did.  So when I do restart my mmorpg life, it’ll probably be with ffxi.

Temporary?

I’m taking a break.  I’m not going to be playing to ffxi the next couple of months.  I don’t know if I will return to it at all.  I like to think I will, but you never really know.  I know this is kind of sudden.  I know I said that with summer coming (and it finally just came, last day of school was today!) I’d have more time to play.  That I’d probably get back into it.  That just doesn’t seem very appealing to me.  Final Fantasy XI has lost its excitement for me.  I haven’t really had fun lately.  I enjoy socializing with my linkshell members and friends of course.  But it’s just time to say goodbye. 

Some of my Real Life friends are graduating tonight.  I’m only a junior, so I’m not.  Some of these RL friends are off to college and the like.  Some of them played World of Warcraft, they might start again.  It could be a way for us to keep in touch.  WoW seems like it can be geared more to the casual online gamer as well, which seems to be labeling me more and more.  I might and probably will play WoW this summer, instead of ffxi.  I can imagine some of the reactions I’ll be getting.

I’ll keep this blog updated.  I’ll probably use it for World of Warcraft as I have for Final Fantasy XI.  I might change blogs, but I’ll have one.  And as long as you check back here, you’ll find the link to it.  I’ll probably edit this post if I do change blogs.  Also, I’d like to say, that although I’m quiting ffxi for WoW, that in no way means I think that ffxi is the lesser game.  I just think I need a break and I believe WoW is more suited for my play style.  I’ve played WoW for 3 months before, so I know what I’m gettign myself into.  I know the community on WoW isn’t nearly as wonderful as it is on ffxi.  I hope to find a social guild (linkshell) while I play, or even create my own in time.  We’ll see.

I expect my break to last at least all of June and July.  At the very least.  It’ll depend on how WoW works for me, if this is the least.  Sorry to dissapoint everyone, but there will be no screenshots for this post.  I don’t want this to be some ultimate goodbye with a screenshot marking my character’s farewell.   Remember, you can comment.  It doesn’t require you to register.
